Commercial LED Lighting

When it comes to upgrading your equipment and facilities, lighting is usually a good place to start.

If you are occupy a commercial building, government or educational building the Carbon Trust states that using incandescent, halogen or fluorescent lighting accounts for approximately 20 per cent of your organisations energy use.

• Reduced energy consumption
• Long lasting
• Reduced maintenance costs
• Improved working conditions

What is commercial LED lighting

Advances in lighting technology have seen the introduction of LEDs (light emitting diodes) which consume around 80 per cent of the electricity used by traditional incandescent lamps.

Commercial LED lighting is not only more efficient but has evolved to produce a better quality of light – an additional benefit that can aid productivity in any business, working or learning environment.

Switching to LED is one of the most effective long-term strategies you can deploy, as the reduction in electricity consumption can be as much as 65-85%.

Until recently the cost of LED lighting was often seen as prohibitively high, however advances in technology have lowered the price and although they may initially still be more expensive than traditional lamps and tubes, they can last up to 8-10 times longer resulting in reduced maintenance costs.

Intelligent Lighting Controls

Whilst Anesco recommend switching to LED lighting for cost saving and environmental benefits, these gains can be made greater by incorporating intelligent lighting control systems which can be tailored to match the usage to the needs of building and its occupants.

Anesco offers a range of commercial lighting control systems for business that can detect whether an area is in use or not and will turn the lights off accordingly.

These systems can also detect levels of natural light and adjust usage to match, the result being greater energy efficiency and a more pleasant working environment, whether it is in the building itself or within parking areas and concourses.

Anesco provide two options:

A retrofit scheme works with what you already have and can upgrade fixtures quickly, with minimal disruption. However, the overall savings and what can be achieved can naturally be limited.

Full redesign

A full redesign starts from scratch and sees the creation of a new scheme, designed to achieve the maximum benefit and savings for the business, and the optimal working environment for employees.

Anesco has a wealth of experience in commercial and industrial LED lighting into workplace and learning environments and will be able to advise on the best solution to meet your needs.
